New Balance 530’s, Worth it, or waste?

When Spring comes around I always feel I need a wardrobe refresh, so when payday came I thought it was about time I treat myself to a new pair of shoes. My staple shoe last year was the hi platform Converse, these shoes eventually had holes worn into the canvas, probably from being battered everyday for work, uni and day to day life. so I sat on TikTok to see what was trending (my new favourite starting point for any fashion fix) I was sceptical at first but these running shoes seem to be a staple for every fit this year, every scroll was the same so I had to see what the hype was. I hit that notify me button on Asos and a week later they were mine!

I haven't owned a pair of new balance since owning the 574's in 2015, the 530 shoe is super lightweight and so comfy to wear, I got the whit silver and navy colour way and I've styled them for work and leisure. For work I paired with a pinstripe blazer, sports socks and a basic tee and leggings for a smart casual look. For leisure I wore parachute pants from Bershka, a shacket and a vintage Burberry knit for a layered look. I would say these are well worth the hype, but maybe save your money and wait for a discount code. I look forward to styling these more in the future.
